My Energy Booster

9 JULY 2009: I tend to get sleepy after lunch, especially at 3-4pm (Well, not today as I’m writing this). Apart from writing some stuff here to keep myself awake, I have another secret that perhaps I could share with you guys out there. All I need is a cup of drink that could boost my energy. Take a look on collection of drinks that I keep inside my drawer:

Well, use your own creativity to mix those. You can either mix “green + rose tea”, “whisky + coffee”, “green tea + coffee”, just whatever that you can come out with.

However, my favourite would be “green tea + whisky”…feel myself like a flying pig after taken it.

So, what’s the trick to keep youself awake?

Seafood Can Cook

13 APR 2009: Granny Twilight has been nagging on me lately saying my blog is expired. Aiyo, he doesn’t know how busy am I lately being a seafood cum cooker. Let me explain a bit what have I done.

Can you imagine a stall selling seafood at Pyramid? And myself being one of the items (seafood) in the stall? Hehe… Danny knows what type of seafood I am. Joined my friends to Barcelona last Thursday for Ladies night outing. Oh dear, I was being one of the “ladies” who have to pay for drinks whereas those real ladies have got free drinks…so unfair!!! After 10pm, a bottle of cheapskate Vodka will be given for a group of 5 ladies (I’m not included of course…keke).

The crowd was packed though it was Thursday with mostly seafood floated around the club. Name it…and you can definitely found your desired seafood here. Left the club at 12am++ with my seafood sister drunk and puked all the way back home…so GELI. Not bad lor, at least I felt myself 10 years younger on the night itself.

Photo of me striking a "seafood" pose...

Rested a day after the seafood outing (which I think wasn’t enough for an uncle like me), and I’ve turned myself 180 degrees to become a chief on Saturday. Ex-colleagues had organized a BBQ birthday party and assigned me to buy those chicken wings, prawns and sausages. And the worst part was that I have to marinate those chicken wings (Those people really have confident on me lo).

As an auntie me, went to market at 7am++ to buy all those stuff. Now I know chicken wings cost rm10 per kg and prawns cost rm10 per 600 grams. Kind of “Pai Seh” lo, those aunties keep calling me “Leng Cai” wherever I went. Felt myself so “Leng” and young on that morning. It was raining on the night itself. Luckily it wasn’t heavy that we still could proceed with all of us carried an umbrella (I felt so sexy with the umbrella indeed). It was a fun night with lots of stories and laughter. And yeah, those chicken wings turned out a bit tasteless lo (so disappointed) but luckily they could still finish it.

Greeny Night

17 MAR 2009: Drove to KL after dinner with friend. Had light stomachache where I quickly park my car and ran to nearest restroom in Pavilion to settle my “business”. Walked around Pavilion after the critical “business” as I reached earliest among my friends. Amboi...it was sales everywhere, looked at my wallet and gave myself a big slap, forget about it!!

Walked over to Finnegan after received a call from friends said they were there. It was kind of packed, mostly with Caucasian who wore green. We ordered a glass of green beer each (ard RM21 included tax), which it took quite long to be served. My friend wasn’t happy with the service and decided to hop over to Bangsar for 2nd round. Called the others to be at Bangsar instead of KL. Once again, I drove all the way from KL to Bangsar to meet with the rest. So 6 of us ordered Kilkenny (ard RM33 included tax) with an exceptional “Coke” lady. Had a great night with chatting and drinking before we called it off at 12am.

Green beer? Perhaps I will go for it again next year, just for the sake of St. Patrick…

Saint Patrick? Do you know who is he?

Introduction:
St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity's most widely known figures. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17, his religious feast day and the anniversary of his death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years.

Celebration:
Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by those of Irish descent and increasingly by non-Irish people (usually in New Zealand, Australia, and North America). Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and, by association, the colour green.
Both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the secular version of the holiday by wearing green, eating Irish food and/or green foods, imbibing Irish drink (such as Irish stout, Irish Whiskey or Irish Cream) and attending parades.

How would I celebrate it?

I wasn’t aware of such celebration earlier as I’m not Christian myself. However, colleagues of mine invited me to join them for drinking session at Fennigans KL later tonight, being told that there’ll be “Green beer” served. Interesting isn’t it? Hope I won’t get cheated lo. :)

Do you celebrate this day? Let’s share it!!!

Happy for hours at Brussels

22 JAN 2009: My hand phone just doesn’t ring at the time I needed it the most. When I was so lonely hoping for it to make some noise, it just kept quiet that I have to make the first move to drag people out. Somehow when there’s a plan made for the day, there’s always a call for other outing. That was what happened today that I have a company Chinese year end dinner to attend while at the same time, Pontivan called me for a happy hour drinking session at Jaya One. Tough decision to be made though, but I managed to join both events with a proper time management.

Here’s the story, I drove all the way to Bangi right after work for the dinner. It was a Chinese style 8-courses dinner where the food was just OK with good service given (hotel’s service wouldn’t be so bad). Once finished with the last course that was dessert (as usual), I ran out from the restaurant and flew all the way to Jaya One in PJ. It took me around 30 minutes of drive, which wasn’t that bad I would say. Reached the Brussels at 10pm, 5 of them were sitting there drinking since 6pm. Damn, I could felt the hotness of the chairs they sat on. I immediately grabbed a glass of beer, while CicakFong reached 10 minutes later. As usual, we had a lot of bullshitting and crap talking for the rest of the night until 12am where some of those “Cinderella” had to head back home for sleep. Called off for the day and wished each others, as most of them will back to hometown during the weekend.

For all of you who need to drive back to hometown, please drive safe and have a pleasant journey.
